After Dad’s hip replacement surgery and rehab, we knew we had to get help for him to stay independent and live at home.  The physical therapists recommended Transitions Homecare but, unfortunately we did not call them first.  We tried another agency and while they provided good companionship for Dad, they couldn’t help with the physical therapy exercises that was prescribed.   Dad was not progressing well. We switched and it was clear that Transitions’ caregivers have real medical experience (physical therapy).  They really helped with Dad’s recovery.

Long-Distance Care - The Stephens Family

Concierge care is something we did not know even existed. Our mother lives in San Diego   and we needed to relocate to Texas for work reasons. Mom was not ready to make the move but, needed help. Their caregivers/case manager handle everything from daily assistance to scheduling doctor appointments and escorting her around. Best of all, they provide netbooks equipped with webcams so we can “call” and also see our mother.  They even text us with updates and we love the weekly progress notes that we receive.  I don’t know what we would do without them-they provide peace of mind!

I would recommend Transitions Homecare in a heartbeat! They are so flexible and surprisingly affordable – for an agency. We previously would hire non-agency caregivers for mom but, got tired of finding coverage for vacation and sick days. Since we went with them, we don’t worry about these things anymore and mom has received excellent care.
